The first most romantic place in Sorrento is also a of the symbols of the town. It is Villa Comunale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Villa Comunale is a large public park<\/strong> overlooking the sea. From here you can admire one of the most spectacular view of the Bay of Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples, including Mount Vesuvius<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But it’s not just the panorama that makes this place so romantic. THE CLOISTER OF SAN FRANCESCO<\/h3>\n

Right next to Villa Comunale is the Cloister of San Francesco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is part of a former 14th century monastery<\/strong> surrounded by greenery and now home to concerts and events<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tranquility of the place, the ancient architecture, the play of light created by the rays of the sun passing through the columns, make the Cloister one of the most popular places for couples<\/strong>. Despite being a small town<\/strong> – just under 9,000 inhabitants live there – it’s really lovely. The reason why we include it in the list of the most romantic places on the Sorrento Peninsula is the square of Piazzetta Marinella<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Like Villa Comunale, Piazzetta Marinella overlooks the sea. From here you can admire a wonderful view of the Gulf of Naples, which is definitely an ideal backdrop for a declaration of love<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, this privileged position makes Piazzetta Marinella one of the most popular places for tourists. So, do not be surprised if, together with you, you will find other couples intent on declaring themselves eternal love.
\nIf you want a more secluded spot, a staircase carved into the rock connects the square to a small beach<\/strong>. There, the view is equally beautiful but you probably will find less people. Moreover, there is also a good restaurant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
