Palazzo Santa Croce is an impressive property which stands majestically on the hillside above Positano.

During the centuries it has been visited by merchants, artists, and so on, who have left an heritage represented by precious objects, a mix of culture, works of art, which have enriched this unique property progressively over time up to the present day. All this is clearly visible in the decor and in every detail scattered around the whole villa.
Among the numerous artists who chose Positano as their favorite destination there was Edward Gillhausen, a Bauhaus member (the artistic and philosophic German movement), who established in this villa with his wife, and here they lived until 2000, leaving a further hint of culture, even considering that their usual visitors were mostly artists or writers.
Guests have the option of reaching Palazzo Santa Croce via a convenient public elevator directly from the Amalfi Drive.
Operating from 8:00am to 24:00, this elevator provides a swift means of transportation, allowing guests to reach the doors of the Palace from Amalfi Drive in a few minutes.
As the elevator is not managed by the villa management; any inconvenience cannot be related to them.
While the scenic 10-minute walk (including 190 steps) remains an option for those who prefer it, the availability of this new elevator offers a more expedient and efficient way of access.
From the main entrance you enter the terrace where you will be captivated by the spectacular panorama over Positano and the sea.
The terrace is embellished by ancient tiles featuring sacred scenes, with terracotta vases of different size and comfortable sofas. It is connected through three entrances to the kitchen, the dining room, the lounge room and the staircase.
The kitchen is characterized by a mix of technology and antiquity, with majolica and marbles, the bread and pizza oven and the big baroque pantry.
The dining and lounge areas consist of two rooms and it are equipped with an antique wooden table and monumental chairs, comfortable sofas, and a library with a collection of antique books and paintings.
The lower floor is home to an inside heated pool with Jacuzzi and a fountain for cervical massage, it is covered with local tiles.
There is also a sauna and a steam room, two showers and a space with a massage table. Additionally, from here you have access to a terrace with solarium and an outside Jacuzzi.
On the first floor are located the two main suites with frescoed ceilings, both with a typical XVIII century style. The first suite has a console with mirror, two columns on the sides of the bed and several antique paintings. It has two balconies and a wonderful terrace with view on Positano’s beach.
The other one features a strong spiritual furnishing with a privileged altar and paintings representing sacred scenes. The style of this room is in harmony with the rest of the
structure, with decorated ceilings and bathrooms with antique tiles. It has a terrace with sea view and on the main church. A corner with sofas and armchairs offers the guests relaxing moments enjoying the beauty of Positano.
On the second floor there we find the two junior suites, both with a sloped ceiling with wooden beams. In these rooms the furniture is sober and the colors are bright, enriched by some antique objects. Through the large window of one of these rooms you can enjoy a stunning view of the sea and of the village of Praiano. The room has also a small private terrace with view over the sea and the garden.
The second room features a wide window overlooking Positano and the garden of the villa with orange and lemon trees and bouganvillea.
On the same floor is also found a single room finely furnished, with en suite bathroom.
