Golf Club Salerno – Salerno
The Salerno Golf Club golf course is located in Pontecagnano, 40 km from Amalfi.
This course consists of 9 uncovered positions, 5 covered position, putting green, chipping green, a 3-hole par 11 course and bunker.
Moreover, the club offers professional teachers with whom it is possible to carry out private or group lessons. In addition, there are also driving range, restaurant, pool, shops and equipment rental service.
Mirabella Golf Club – Avellino
The Mirabella Golf Club is in Mirabella Eclano. Although it is a bit far from the Amalfi coast – about 90 km- it is really scenic.
In fact, it is located inside a Resort which in turn is in a sixty-hectare estate surrounded by hills. Indeed, the course itself merges with the landscape.
It was built following the natural contours of the terrain and includes 9 holes, with some of them within vineyards and olive groves. It is is 3,700 meters long, par 62, has double starts for each hole. Differences in height, streams, lakes, small woods make the game more interesting.
Moreover, the club hosts a few driving ranges with different characteristics, which are illuminated for night practice. There is also a golf academy.
Golf Club Napoli & Carney Park Golf Course – Napoli
Carney Park Golf Course is a very special place.
First of all, this golf course is a recreational facility owned by the US Navy. In fact, it is named after Admiral Robert B. Carney who served as chief of naval operations during the Eisenhower administration.
Then, it is located near the extinct volcano Campiglione, in the Campi Flegrei area, near Naples.
Carney Park Golf Course is 40-acre wide but it is part of a 93-acres wide estate. The course includes 9 holes with double tee boxes, and is suitable for experienced players, beginners and even juniors.
Access to the course is allowed only to American soldiers and members of the Golf Napoli golf club. But the registration may be worth it!
